| Security is intended to maintain
the premises in a state which is desired by the building owner or occupant. It can
be designed to protect certain areas with specific levels of security. It can be
very general and basic, guarding against intrusion. Usually, the company offering
the security will discuss the environmental conditions before making any recommendations. |
| It is also necessary to decide if
supervision of personnel is required - recording the times for arming and disarming the
system, by individual users. This is used primarily when areas are secured and
accessible to specific persons. The records are maintained by Blue
Ridge Monitoring and forwarded to the designated
company representative on a weekly or monthly basis. |
| The protection, itself, can be sensors on
doors and windows, motion detection (exterior or exterior), glass breakage detection or
numerous other devices. This too, must be scrutinized by the installing
company. |
| Insurance benefits can be a factor
in the type and extent of protection required. It is important to coordinate the
security plan with the insurance carrier. CPS and Blue
Ridge Monitoring have the background and
understanding of working with the insurance companies to obtain the maximum discounts
allowable, based upon the securing of the premises. |
