Another feature of the Linear PERS-2400 is the marking of the buttons in large type and Braille characters for vision impaired persons.

Visible and audible indicators are provided for continuous supervision of the system.

The system installs merely by using the integral modular phone jack for input of the phone line and, if desired plugging a phone into the output jack.  This allows this system to be connected without "losing" a phone.  The system will cut out the phone during a transmission of a signal, to prevent accidentally interfering with the emergency signal transmission to the monitoring center.

A battery backup is available to allow continuous use during a power outage, if the phone lines have not been affected.
